More than a good picture

Your child needs range, not repetition.

A useful portfolio should show personality without making a child perform like an adult. We build genuine variety through wardrobe, light, background, expression and energy—while keeping every frame recognizably them.

Commercial warmth

Open, approachable expressions for family, lifestyle and youth brands.

Theatrical focus

Grounded, direct portraits with more depth for film and television submissions.

Personality frames

A little movement, laughter or edge when it fits your child—not because every kid gets the same pose.

Selected work

Different energy. Different stories. One authentic kid.

Images are shown in their natural proportions—no forced square crops cutting off faces or hair.

01

No over-retouching

Skin stays real, features stay recognizable and children still look their age.

02

No pressure to perform

We warm up gradually and adjust the pace around energy, focus and comfort.

03

No generic formula

The session plan changes with your child’s type, personality and submission goals.

Choose the right setting

Studio, outdoor or on location?

You’ll choose your preferred session type while booking. Julia confirms the best option based on casting goals, wardrobe and the number of looks.

Controlled + timeless

Studio

Consistent light, clean backgrounds and efficient wardrobe changes. Best when you need polished commercial and theatrical options in one session.

Built around you

On location

Your home, production space or selected neighborhood. Travel fees are quoted separately based on distance, access and setup needs.

Simple preparation

Help them arrive rested—not rehearsed.

The goal is not to practice one perfect smile. It is to make the day predictable enough that your child can relax and show real expression.

Parent-friendly by design

You do not need a child who already “knows how to model.”

Julia is a photographer, trained actress and longtime model who understands direction from both sides of the camera. Your child receives clear, small prompts instead of vague instructions to “act natural.”

What you can expect

Parents remain present throughout the session.
Breaks and pacing adjust to age and energy.
Wardrobe and background choices serve actual casting needs.
Retouching stays subtle and age appropriate.
You know the pricing and deliverables before shooting.
Frequently asked

Before you book

Does my child need acting or modeling experience?

No. Direction is broken into small, age-appropriate prompts, and the session warms up gradually. Experience is welcome but never required.

Should we choose studio or outdoor headshots?

Studio gives maximum consistency and easy background changes. Outdoor sessions can feel more relaxed and naturally varied. Share your goals while booking and Julia will help confirm the strongest option.

What is the on-location travel fee?

It depends on distance, parking/access and setup time. Select “on location” while booking and include the address or neighborhood. You will receive the exact fee before confirming the shoot plan.

Can we get both commercial and theatrical images?

Yes. The Portfolio and Signature packages are best when you need a meaningful range of expression, wardrobe and background.

How much retouching is included?

Finished images receive professional color, exposure and subtle skin cleanup. Facial features, texture and age are preserved.

Can a parent stay during the session?

Yes. A parent or legal guardian remains present for the entire session.

What if my child needs a break?

We take one. Sessions are paced around attention and comfort; forcing a tired expression rarely creates useful images.

Give casting a clear first impression—without photographing the personality out of your child.
